Ego

Good News = Discovered I can do the splits on my left side in yoga class today! Yay!

Bad News = I pulled my hamstring when I did! Now I'm laid up in bed.

So...what was I thinking when I was doing my splits? Wow! I can't believe I'm doing this. I can't wait to show this off to Tana!

And then? SNAP!

Darn Ego! Lesson learned.

I'm a pretty big fan of Italy myself. My wife and I love to go to Lamole and stay in a little farmhouse there...Lamole is up the hill from Greve, between Florence and Siena. I'm pretty sure that's where God takes vacations.

Holy Wisdom

This may be the year I finally make it to Turkey--something I've been wanting to do for 20 years. Hagia Sophia, an architectural feat and brilliant piece of art (as well as my daughter's namesake), will be my first stop. I was fascinated by this mosque when I first saw pictures of it in my Art History class at Smith College. The natural sunlight throughout creates such a heavenly aura, something I can't wait to experience.
